The DatingForSeniors.com website advertises that you can join for free. When I saw the Internet ad I thought, how nice that they are offering this free service for senior citizens. I filled out my profile and joined for free. But, free it wasn't. DatingForSeniors.com WILL allow you to join for free, filling out your profile and searching for that perfect mate. If someone is interested in you and sends you an email, just try and pick it up. You will only be able to that after joining the site for some cash up front. You can see who the emails are from but, nope, you can't read them unless you want to pull out your debit or credit card and give DatingForSeniors.com money. If you notice their ads, they say "view profiles" 100% free. You can't find a mate just viewing profiles. Communication is a must to even set up a date. I can view profiles on MySpace or Facebook all day long but what good is it if communication is not permitted? A free site should be just that, a free site.
I'm so sick of advertisements, "join for free" or "free membership" when you are merely filling out a profile for free. You can't talk with the people, you can't read emails and you can't send emails! Shame on you, DatingForSeniors.com for taking advantage of senior citizens. If you would manage your advertisements, you could make money without charging any fees to your members. Look at PlentyOffish.com. They never charge a fee and you have a full membership with full access. The owner was on a news show and he is making $900,000 some months; not years, months!
My suggestion is for everyone to sign up for a legitimate free site, like PlentyOffish.com, and forget websites who charge you after you fill in a profile and want to read your emails. Unless you just want to look at profiles, don't bother getting your free account with so-called "free sites" because they aren't REALLY free. Dating sites, especially for seniors, should make money off advertising and not senior citizens looking for love. DatingForSeniors.com, why not give seniors a break?
